Kristaps Porzingis, a forward and center for the Washington Wizards, has sprained his left ankle and won't be back for a week, the team said Monday.

Porzingis hurt himself Saturday when the Wizards beat the Orlando Magic by a score of 138-118. Before leaving the game in the third quarter, he scored 17 points.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN says that there is hope that Porzingis could play for the Wizards again in two weeks.

In 2022-23, Porzingis averages 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. The Wizards are 12th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20–26. The Wizards' five-game road trip starts on Tuesday in Dallas, where they play Luka Doncic and the Mavericks (8:30 ET, League Pass).
