DENVER (AP) — Friday night's Nuggets game against Indiana was played without Nikola Jokic, who was sidelined with a sore left hamstring.

They had no need for him.

Jamal Murray recorded his first career triple-double as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Indiana Pacers 134-111 to extend their winning streak to nine games.

Murray ended with 17 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds to emulate Jokic as closely as possible.

Murray quipped after the game, "He often steals my triple-doubles." It was satisfying to finally score a goal.

Jokic, who leads the NBA with 14 triple-doubles, sat courtside for the Jamal Murray Show and praised his point-guard teammate after the accomplishment.

Last week, Jokic missed a game due to a painful right wrist. In November, he missed three games owing to NBA health and safety regulations.

The reigning two-time Kia Most Valuable Player has recorded a triple-double in five of his last six games. This season, he is averaging 25.1 points, 11 rebounds, and 9.9 assists per game.
