James moves up two spots on the all-time list by moving past two NBA greats at once.
(AP) — NEW YORK LeBron James is getting closer to becoming the NBA's all-time scoring leader. He is now in fourth place on the league's list of assists.
Mark Jackson (10,334) and Steve Nash (10,335) were both passed by James in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's Lakers game against the New York Knicks. With less than 10 minutes left, Thomas Bryant's dunk was his 10,336th help.

James had 11 assists by the end of the game, giving him 10,338 for his career. The Lakers beat the Knicks 129-123 in overtime.
James grabbed 10 boards and scored 28 points. He needs just 89 more points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time scoring leader.
Since January 2020, this was James's first game at Madison Square Garden. He was hurt and missed one game, and then he hit Isaiah Stewart of Detroit in the face and got suspended for the rest of the season.
