How Does Draymond Green Feel About the Lakers Getting Rui Hachimura? |
The Los Angeles Lakers traded for Rui Hachimua, a forward for the Washington Wizards. Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, praised the trade on a recent podcast episode.
Green said, "I'd say the Lakers won the trade." "I think Kendrick Nunn will play well in Washington when he goes there. I think Kendrick Nunn will go to Washington and find the Kendrick Nunn we saw in Miami... But as of right now, the trade went in favor of the Lakers."
Green said that he thinks the Lakers won the trade because there was a logjam at the point guard spot with Dennis Schroder, Patrick Beverley, and Kendrick Nunn, and it just wasn't working out for Nunn.
Green said, "I also felt like the Lakers know they have to make some moves, and this is a way for them to do that while still keeping those two first-round picks they haven't wanted to give up."
Green said this about Rui as a player: "The Rui trade is very good for the Lakers because it's always good to get taller and faster players. Rui can defend multiple positions, and he can stretch the floor and knock the three down."
What this move does for the Lakers will be interesting to see, but Draymond Green likes it.
