On Sunday night, Porzingis scored 25 points in his first game for the Wizards, who defeated the Indiana Pacers 133-123. Porzingis returned from a right knee bone bruise and made his first appearance since joining the Wizards in a trade with Dallas about a month ago.

It was his first game since January 29th. Despite just playing 21:19, he started and had a huge impact.

"I'm glad to be out there with a time limit," Porzingis said.

"I tried to keep calm, not overdo things, and play the game the proper way." Most significantly, we were victorious.

On Washington's first offensive possession, the 7-foot-3 Porzingis was targeted with a lob. He wasn't quite able to slam it down, but he did manage to tip it in. Porzingis offered another highlight later in the first half when he blocked Oshae Brissett near the basket, however Brissett scored over Porzingis shortly after.

Late in the fourth quarter, with Indiana down three, Kuzma blocked a shot and Porzingis slammed down a one-handed alley-oop dunk to put the Wizards up 124-119.

"Everyone did a fantastic job of finding me, and then Deni (Avdija) threw the game-winning lob," Porzingis said. "It was a tremendous occasion to be here in Washington for the first game, and I'm looking forward to many more moments like that."

With 1:35 left, Indiana's Malcolm Brogdon scored two free throws, but Porzingis dunked again after an offensive rebound.

Wes Unseld Jr., the Wizards' coach, remarked, "I was pleasantly delighted with his conditioning." "I know we had to be careful about the stretches he'd be playing, but he handled it admirably."
